The word health comes from the root word 'whole', that means feeling healthy means to be complete, a sense of wholeness within ourselves, health can be categorised as physical & mental. If asked we all know for physical health we need to exercise and we eat in one given way, for mental health another way. So eating habits are kind of a necessary aspect to a better lifestyle both physically & psychologically, and then you might feel complete. For that to happen, our body should be vibrant our physical energies must be vibrant, our mind must be joyful, our emotions must be cheerful only then we will feel complete.

MENTAL HEALTH
Mental health disorders, refers to a wide range of mental health conditions/disorders that affect your mood, thinking and behavior. Examples of mental illness include depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, eating disorders and addictive behaviors.
A mental illness can make you miserable & can cause problems in your daily life, such as at work or school or in a relationship.
Mental health is one of the biggest problems of the modern era, so many people, so many young people say they are sad, they are depressed, they can't contain their thoughts together, they are broke. In today's world number of people committing suicide every year is more then the number of people killed by criminals, wars & terrorist activities combined together. So many people suffer depression and anxiety and have no control on their actions, there mind controls their actions and they end up hurting themselves or others. There can be nothing better then understanding the fundamental mechanism of the human brain. The reason being it's one of the most sophisticated things on the planet. Think about the most complex, the most high functioning machinery, anything you can imagine has come out of a human brain, and when that is the case it is very important to understand the mechanism of how our mind functions.

People say they have thousands of thoughts and don't know how to control them, how to get rid of negative thoughts and be positive about things.
People don't understand there is no such thing like removing negative thoughts and replacing it with positive thoughts, no you cannot do it. When you forcefully try NOT to think about something, your mind will constantly remind you of those things. Let's experiment, for next 10 second don't think about the person that hurt you and whatever bad they did to you. can't stop picturing them, can you? So this is the nature of our mind.
No matter how physically strong you are there's no way to you can control your mind with that physical strength, you've to be mentally strong. Being strong involves reframing unproductive negative thoughts. It's not just about thinking positive it's about training your brain to think realistic. One thing you need to understand is this mind of our is supposed to serve us and not control us.
That being said I don't want to make this blog specifically for people suffering from mental health, it's unfortunate that they are suffering, they have there own misery to go through & and no amount of words and sympathy can make it any better for them. I want to speak to general public for the next part of the blog.
OVERTHINKING
If you think you aren't suffering from mental health, you are wrong about it. Everybody suffers from it time to time, it is one of the most common things people go through. Our mind works very distinctively, just the ability to think of alternative situation and results of those alternative situation within seconds is just amazing. But that's where complications begins, we start to OVERTHINK.
If you can't relax, if you can't stop thinking about how your life could have been better, if you would've done things differently, if you would've made better decisions you are thinking about alternative life which is not your reality and you are wasting your time. Either way it's apparent that overthinking can cause your mental health to decline, and as mental health declines you start to think how did you ended up in this situation. It's a vicious downward loop and it becomes harder and harder to ignore it after a while, overthinking becomes a habit.
It’s easy to convince yourself that ruminating and worrying over things is somehow helpful.
After all, how is it possible to come up with a better solution without thinking about it? You have to keep thinking about that mistake to stop yourself from repeating it, right? Well, the answer is not as obvious as you might think.
Analysis paralysis is real. The more you think about a problem, the worse you feel & the worse you feel, harder it is to take positive action because emotions can cloud your, Judgment.
But if you say you overthink because your current state of affair bothers you and you want much better life out of it. Let me tell you something, Overthinking and Self-reflection are 2 different things.
Self-reflection involves learning and gaining perspective about yourself in regards to situation in hand, it's a purposeful act. While Overthinking is stressing over everything you don't have control on, also it doesn't give you any insight of the issue.
You have misunderstood that your thought is what you are, remember your thoughts are the outcomes of certain information you get from someone.
Try to understand I am not saying you definitely have mental problems but if you are sad, you are depressed, you overthink. It's time you pay attention towards this things. I am not saying seek for help immediately, get yourself a therapist, No! . Up until you aren't harming yourself & people around you and can control your emotions and not react to things with rage it's fine. But it's time to start working on your mental strength and learn how to calm yourself in times of anxiety and stress.
Some people have more mental strength then others and it's important to know that nobody is born with it, you learn through life experiences and you develop, you become more mature, you adapt and overcome those difficulties. As of now most of us are unfortunately experiencing this fantastic possibility of human mind as a troublesome thing, well this can be the best thing that ever happened to you. You can take this time to understand what actually matters and how much it matters, you can set your priorities, most importantly you can rebuild yourself from the scratch.
LIFE IS ABOUT YOU
Yes it's understandable that you want to achieve things in life, and for them to become reality you will have to analyse few things and make your decision, but Overthinking isn't the answer to that perhaps you have thought about a thousands of scenarios about how you will make the wrong decision. Before starting a Business or YouTube channel or asking out a girl, there always reasons to stop going through those scenarios repeatedly. Yes your business can fail so can your YouTube channel and yes the girl may turn you down. Don't be paralyzed by your thoughts all those things are about taking risks and finding out the result rather than lying on the bed and overstressing for no reason.
Anybody who's ever gone through depression would tell you that it's not just something In your mind but also something you feel in your body as much as it's in your head it's also in your stomach, having anxiety & depression is like being scared and tired at the same time. It's wanting friends, but hate socializing. It's wanting to be alone, but not wanting to be lonely.
If I ask you, whom do you love?
How much long would it take to name yourself? You might never say your own name, learn you love the way you are, cherish the person you are. There is something called as You which exists. This is not composite of all your thoughts, emotions & psychological processes. If you close your eyes even if you can't see anything, you're still there, it's through the eyesight that you are looking out, meaning if you close your eyes it doesn't mean you don't exist. So beyond your thought, emotions you still exist, so that You the life you are. This has to come into your experience, this fundamental sense of being Alive. When you realise this you will see the distance between you and your thought process once you see that distance it's easy to stop the negativity that our mind generates. Learn to sit back and relax yourself, don't get carried away by your thoughts, Meditate.

2 Major Effects Of Overthinking
Anxiety : Feeling unease about something with an uncertain outcome. Your thoughts create emotions no matter if it's grief, anger or fear these are sensations that are produced by a thoughts, which infact is overthinking. They have created so many possible scenarios in their minds about what's going to happen next. To much anxiety can make you miserable & frustrated it can even lead you to suicidal ideas.
Depression : A feeling of deep distress caused by loss, disappointment, or other misfortune suffered by oneself or others. While anxiety comes from worrying about the future, depression comes from being stuck in the past. Some people carry a heavy feeling from the past moment from their life. Everyday they remind themselves of the things that happened and what could've gone differently. The question of "What If this happened instead of this". But remember whatever situation you think of, it can't change your present or future. Obviously it's great to take lessons from what has happened but worrying about that misfortune will bring you nothing but sadness. It's also okay to feel sad, it's fine to express your emotions but don't get Stuck.
If you aren't finding expression to your emotional dimension and also not finding enough exertion for the physical body you are bound to become depressive.
WHAT WILL HELP YOU GET BETTER
- Spending Time With Nature : A study revealed that the brain becomes both calmer and sharper after a person spends time in a quiet setting close to nature. Walking in green spaces puts the brain in a meditative state. Even a 5-minute walk in the park can have an immediate calming effect on the mind.
- Ask For Help : One common mistake people make is not asking for help, not just during this period but in general at office or at school. Asking for help often makes people feel uneasy because it requires surrendering control to someone else. Another fear is coming across as needy. We don’t want to be ashamed of our situation, or come across as incompetent, so we work really hard to make sure people don’t see us this way. But it's always fine to ask for help, think about it this way when someone asks you something and you help then and in return they say "Thank You" don't you feel good about being able to help them? Don't you feel happy that you helped someone out of their misery? So always ask for help, don't be afraid or shy.
- Meditation : Paying attention to your breathing. Don't try to change how you are breathing; simply observe your body as you inhale and exhale. You might feel compelled to shift your focus elsewhere. Resist this urge and continue to focus on your breathing. Anxious thoughts may pass through your mind. Acknowledge them, but then bring yourself back to awareness of your breathing. Do this for about 10 minutes, open your eyes and notice how you feel. Don't evaluate, just observe.
- Productive Mantra : Examine the types of negative thought patterns that drag you down and hold you back. Then, create a short phrase that can help you shift into a more positive mindset. Repeating, “Do your best,” or "I can't waste time at this" can boost your mood and help you take positive action. When you practice repeating those phrases often, you’ll grow to believe they’re more accurate and helpful than the unhealthy messages you’ve been giving yourself by overthinking.
There can be many more things that you can try like Finding a new hobby, listening to music, talking to someone you're comfortable with, therapy, better eating habits, exercise and much more can be done but beware whatever works for you, it's not the people that can make your situation better, it always you. It's your mind, it's your thoughts, it's your body and you are incharge. People around you will help you to a great extent but if you choose to be stuck in there, no therapy can do good to you.
Don't think of this problem as your illness don't be afraid of it, it's so common among this generation. Everybody goes through this phase, even the strongest minds around the world.
It's always hard to think that toughest people break at times, like your therapist, your therapist has a therapist right? Your coach was once taught by someone.
We all need help every now and then no matter how strong your think you are, we all need some help getting back up, it's learning how to punch after we've been knocked down.
You are not broken, you are still learning.
Everything is going to be okay.
